Our brief

Andrew joined the company eight years ago and is responsible for the production planning of new contracts including implementation of changes and continuous improvements. The behavioural outcomes identified through the pre-programme 360 assessment highlighted a need to improve his influencing and motivating skills.

The Solution

It was agreed that an interactive development programme would best suit his learning style.  Palladium’s  Personal Management Skills programme was matched to Lee’s practical approach for gaining results. The programme was delivered through seven half-day workshops, one-to-one coaching sessions and a business project.  His business project challenged him to improve the process efficiency of box build to achieve a completion rate of 85% on a continuous basis with his team.

The Outcome

Andrew commenced his project in March 2009 by facilitating meetings, first with the process engineer and production supervisor and then with the operators. After explaining the outcome he wanted to achieve on a particular contract, Andrew asked for, and recorded the teams ideas and suggestions. Andrew then worked on a plan to improve the process. Three months later the efficiency in box build for that particular contract has increased to 90-95%. Andrew is now rolling out the process to improve efficiency in all other contracts and refining the process in specific areas.
